Q: What is the difference between the Sol Shala and Luna Shala?
Our two practice spaces — Sol (Sun) Shala and Luna (Moon) Shala — reflect the harmony of Yang and Yin energy within the yoga tradition.
☀️ Sol Shala (Sun | Yang Energy)
This radiant space embodies warmth, vitality, and transformation. The room is heated up to 105°F using Heating Green far-infrared panels, which provide optimal therapeutic benefits for the human body.
If you’re curious about why infrared heat enhances your practice, click here to learn more.
Classes in the Sol Shala (included in your membership) include:
Hatha
Vinyasa
Vinyasa (Slow Flow)
Sculpt
🌙 Luna Shala (Moon | Yin Energy)
Our Luna Shala offers a soothing counterbalance — calm, introspective, and grounding. The same far-infrared heaters are used, but the temperature is kept around 80°F for a more restorative atmosphere.
Classes in the Luna Shala (included in your membership) include:
Kundalini
Moving Meditation
Yin and Meditation
Meditation and Tea
Aerial
Chair Yoga
These offerings invite a softer, slower practice that supports your mental, emotional, and spiritual growth — nurturing the Yin within the Yang.
Q: What can I expect from each class?
At Sol Health Yoga, each class is designed to meet you where you are — offering balance between movement and stillness, strength and softness, energy and rest.
*Meditation & Tea
The practice begins with a gentle tea ceremony, allowing each participant to settle into their body and the sacred space of the Luna Shala.
This inward journey cultivates stillness and conscious connection to self — inviting you to simply be.
Benefits include: calming the nervous system, lowering blood pressure, releasing stress, deepening awareness, and reconnecting to your true essence.
Tea is provided to enhance the experience of grounding body and mind. Please bring pillows, bolsters, or props as needed to support your meditation practice.
*Yin
Yin is a deeply meditative practice that invites stillness and surrender — perfect for students who live busy lives or find slowing down a challenge.
In this 75–90 minute class, you’ll explore about 10 postures, each held for 3–10 minutes.
The intention is to move beyond muscle engagement and into the connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, and fascia, where profound release can occur.
Bring bolsters, pillows, blocks, and blankets for comfort and support. Suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced.
*Moving Meditation
Moving Meditation bridges stillness and flow — similar to Vinyasa, yet more introspective and fluid.
In the Luna Shala, free of mirrors, you’re guided to move intuitively, building your inner fire rather than relying on external heat.
This practice encourages spinal mobility, joint circulation, and conscious breath awareness.
An ideal class for both beginners and advanced practitioners seeking mindful movement.
*Aerial
Aerial Yoga combines traditional asana with the playful support of silk hammocks suspended from steel beams in our Luna Shala.
You’ll experience the freedom of movement through gentle traction and decompression, creating space within the body and spine.
Our Aerial Drop-In classes are designed for students who have completed our Aerial Series or can demonstrate prior experience using aerial silks.
*Kundalini
Kundalini Yoga is a powerful practice designed to awaken your vital life force energy through a combination of breathwork (pranayama), movement (kriya), mantra, and meditation.
This class invites you to move beyond the physical postures and into the energetic, emotional, and spiritual realms of your being. Each sequence, known as a kriya, is intentionally crafted to balance the nervous system, strengthen the glandular system, and elevate consciousness.
Expect rhythmic movement, deep breathing, chanting, and moments of stillness — creating a profound shift from within.
Kundalini is accessible to all levels and encourages authentic expression, self-discovery, and renewal of spirit.
*Chair Yoga
Chair Yoga is a gentle, accessible form of yoga practiced with the support of a chair, making it ideal for beginners, seniors, or anyone with mobility limitations.
This class focuses on breath awareness, mindful movement, and joint mobility — improving strength, flexibility, and balance while offering deep relaxation.
Perfect for those seeking to experience the benefits of yoga in a safe, supported, and welcoming environment.
*Hatha
Hatha follows a traditional sequence of 26 postures practiced each time you attend class, along with two breathing exercises — one at the beginning and one at the end.
Held around 105°F, the warmth supports flexibility in your muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues, helping your body open safely.
Between each posture, you’ll rest to integrate its benefits.
Accessible to all levels, Hatha is highly recommended for new students, offering time and structure to explore modifications or deepen your expression of each pose.
*Vinyasa (Slow Flow)
Vinyasa (Slow Flow) offers all the mindful movement and breath connection of traditional Vinyasa but at a gentler, slower pace.
This class emphasizes alignment, breath awareness, and graceful transitions, allowing more time to explore each posture and cultivate presence.
Ideal for those seeking to build strength and mobility with less intensity or heat — perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a more mindful, meditative flow.
*Vinyasa
Vinyasa is a dynamic, breath-synchronized flow practice held at 100–105°F.
Each posture seamlessly transitions into the next, guided by your inhale and exhale — symbolizing the balance of energy:
your inhale invites new vitality, your exhale offers release and surrender.
While this class may feel more advanced due to its pace and coordination with breath, it’s accessible to anyone willing to move with intention and awareness.
*Sculpt
Sculpt merges Vinyasa flow with strength training, incorporating light dumbbell weights into each sequence.
Heated between 95–100°F, this class builds power, endurance, and focus while maintaining the fluid breathwork and grace of Vinyasa.
Each movement is purposeful — the inhale bringing renewal, and the exhale cultivating strength and release.
This class is not recommended for students new to yoga or movement practices.
Q: Can my child practice with me?
Yes! We welcome families to share the practice together.
Students ages 14 and older are invited to join classes in the Sol Shala, provided they demonstrate maturity, follow studio etiquette, and respect the shared space.
Students under 14 may attend non-heated weekly classes in the Luna Shala after completing a private session (at your own cost) to ensure readiness, safety, and comfort in a group setting.
If your child would thrive more by being surrounded by peers their own age, we encourage them to join our Blooming Sol classes, which are thoughtfully designed for each stage of childhood and adolescence.
We believe introducing yoga at a young age supports lifelong mindfulness, body awareness, and confidence — and we’re happy to guide your family in finding the right fit.
Q: Do I have to be a member to enroll in a Series?
Everyone in the community is welcome to join our Series offerings — you do not need to be a member to enroll.
However, Unlimited Members receive 25% off all Series registrations as part of their membership benefits.
