In a space that is comforting, welcoming, and warm, we will utilize the soft glow of candlelight as a dynamic symbol to support tranquility. The flickering flame of a candle holds the potential to reduce muscle tension and promote relaxation, further supporting an atmosphere for surrender through intentional movement and rest.

Yin postures, held for a length of 3-8 minutes for each pose, will invite our bodies to move deeply and settle within the connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, and fascia allowing for a release of held tension, and emotion. We will also incorporate the practice of restorative movement which will support both physical and mental well-being through gentle, prop-supported poses held for extended periods. Because Yin yoga (with restorative expression) is designed to slow the mind and body while encouraging mindfulness and presence in the moment, you can expect this practice to gently activate the parasympathetic nervous system while lowering cortisol levels.
