Mindfulness & Meditation

Mindfulness & Meditation

It is estimated that our five senses receive more than 11 million pieces of information a second yet can only process about 40 pieces of information consciously, it is no wonder we are overworked and overstimulated. In this workshop we will learn some skills to aid in moving the mind from the Sympathetic Nervous System (fight, flight, freeze) of chaos to the calm of the Parasympathetic Nervous System (rest, relax and digest). We’ll begin by defining mindfulness and meditation. We will touch briefly on the Neuroscience behind it and explore the four main neuropathways that can be transformed through a consistent practice. You will understand the Physical, Psychological and Social benefits of M & M. We will spend time exploring different Mindfulness and Meditation exercises.

You will leave this workshop with the understanding, skills and toolkit to develop your own consistent Mindfulness and Meditation Practice.

Through the practice of meditation, gentle movement, journaling and finding a sense of release during the sound bath, my hope is that at the conclusion of our time together, you will leave this space with a feeling of uplifting renewal and serenity.

This experience is a donation-based gathering with 100% of the donations going to Sol Health’s ‘Open Your Heart’ non-profit foundation to provide student scholarships within the Sol Health Kula. Suggested donation for the ground sound bath option is $20 per participant and for the floating sound bath option is $40 per participant.

108 Sun Salutations
Dec

108 Sun Salutations

“108 bows to the sun — body willing, heart steady, breath and movement merging until only presence remains. This is not a workout, but a journey inward.”

Each Salutation is a thread of devotion, a conversation between body and spirit.
With every inhale, we draw in light.
With every exhale, we release what we no longer need.

The number 108 — sacred, whole, auspicious, and infinite, reminding us that every ending circles back to a new beginning.
